About Us
Founded in 1971, the Montachusett Ski & Snowboard Club is a nonprofit, family-oriented club that provides exceptional value for our members. While great skiing and snowboarding at discounted rates are at the heart of what we do, we also pride ourselves on being a vibrant social club—with plenty of camaraderie and Après‑ski fun.
Explore our website to get a feel for who we are - but that only scratches the surface of who we really are. The real fun begins when you join and begin skiing or snowboarding with us.
Activities
We are a family oriented club encouraging members of all ages to come together to enjoy winter sports at discounted prices. One of our greatest strengths is organizing group skiing and snowboarding adventures to a wide range of destinations. We also have hiking, biking, golfing and kayaking group trips in the off-season.
Each season, members can take part in club‑sponsored trips, which typically include:
Day Trips
Approximately three trips per season to ski areas within a 2–2½‑hour drive. Trips are usually on Saturdays or Sundays, with occasional weekdays. Members drive themselves and meet at the mountain.
Weekend Trips
Two or more discounted weekend trips, typically featuring 2‑ or 3‑night stays at ski resorts. Some trips may include bus transportation (departing from the Fitchburg/Leominster area), lodging, lift tickets, and sometimes meals
Week‑Long Trips
One to two week‑long destination trips within the U.S., Canada, or Europe, offered at great package rates. These trips include a dedicated trip coordinator and typically feature airfare, ground transportation, discounted lodging, lift tickets, and some meals.
Meetings & Social events
The club meets most months during the Fall and Winter season—generally on the third Thursday from September through April at 6:00 p.m.—at the Marconi Club, 36 Birch Street, Fitchburg, MA. Meetings often include guest speakers, raffles, and prizes. Our November meeting is traditionally held at Wachusett Mountain Ski Resort. The December meeting/gathering is our Christmas Party.
Each Summer/Fall, we host an annual outing focused on socializing, games and sign‑ups for the upcoming ski season.
BY-LAWS OF THE CLUB
The Montachusett Ski & Snowboard Club has been in existence for over 50 years, and is a non-profit educational organization incorporated in the State of Massachusetts. We have detailed By-laws and policies that members should be familiar with.
